Amanda had just come from shopping, a new dress carefully tucked away, next to a bottle of wine she planned on opening for Duncan that night. She was finishing up a long day, and so indulged herself with a quick detour at the bar, looking for a friend or at least a decent drink.
Someone else was there, and Amanda grinned. It was probably Methos, and honestly, she hadn't seen him in ages. Still, her sword was carefully at hand when she entered, before relaxing, her grin even wider. Amanda met Methos' eye, and went over to say hello.
"Amanda," Methos said, standing to walk down to the end of the bar closer to the door. "What can I get you?"
Connor walked in not too long after Amanda.
"Phillp, is that you hiding behind the bar?" Connor asked.
"I'm hardly hiding," Methos pointed out, grinning.
"You're behind the bar instead of infront of it, that's hiding enough for me," Connor chuckled.
"Excuse me?" Methos said, sounding offended. "I happen to work here. I get paid in money and everything."
Connor looked horrifed. "Joe actually pays you to drink up his beer supply?"
"Joe pays me to serve his beer supply to paying customers," Methos corrected. "I try not to drink while I'm working. Force of habit."
"Well then bar-keep, I'll have a beer," Connor said between a chuckle. "How has life been treating you? Claire and I hardly hear from you."
"Coming right up." Methos got Connor a beer then perched on a stool across from him. "Life's been okay. I spent some time in Brazil, tending bar as a matter of fact, and now I'm trying to relax and not get killed."
"How's that going?" Connor asked, taking a drink of his beer. "The trying to relax part, since your head seems firmly attached."
"Fairly well so far. I've got a low stress job, and a nice place to live. I think I'm doing pretty well." Methos looked up as another Immortal approached. "What is this, free beer for Immortals night? Joe never mentioned it..."
"Be careful how loud you say free beer, you never know who might show up." Connor laughed, after saying his hello to Gina.
It had been a long day of grading essays that didn't bear seeing daylight ever again, and Gina found herself stopping into the bar. She hoped she'd see Cory, but would be just as happy to see her old friend Adam. Phillip, she reminded herself mentally. Sensing the Immortal presence, she smiled and stepped in to find a few people she knew.
Connor looked up from his conversation with Phillip. "Gina, hello."
Methos smiled at Gina. "And how are you tonight, Gina?"
